Ghost Light Players first dip into dramatic territory was Sam Shepard’s  Fool For Love, directed by Elinor Price. It is a modern American piece that examines the nature of love, addiction, and story telling as history. May and Eddie, more than just lovers, go through their own twisted pasts to discover what really brings them together, and the father figure that binds them both to a destructive path.

The play focuses on May and Eddie, former lovers who have met again in a motel in the desert. The play premiered in 1983 at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco, where Shepard was the playwright-in-residence.

“It tells the story of two people who just can’t live with out each other whether they like it or not. Between digging up the past and uncovering the truth, the show will lead to an explosive emotional ride,” says director, Elinor Price.
